Hanan Ali Abbasi won the National Youth Award

Hanan Ali Abbasi (Young Author, Youth Parliamentarian & Broadcaster) has won the National Youth Award offered by Government of Pakistan in the field of “Media”. The National Youth Awards are conferred annually by the Government of Pakistan (the Ministry of Youth Affairs to high-achieving and distinguished men and women from all over the country. These prestigious awards are conferred after a highly competitive selection process, which commences in late June every year and culminates in the announcement of the awards on the eve of the International Youth Day on 12 August. The main objective of the National Youth Awards, as dictated by the policy directives of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Government of Pakistan, is to “Recognize the achievements of the young people in their lives and of volunteers working for the welfare and development of the youth”. The award, a shield and a certificate accompanied by a monetary award of Rs50,000, is given in the fields of literature, culture, education, science and technology, sports, business, community service, media, ‘Qirat’ and ‘Naat’, management science, agriculture, computer science and information technology, environment, technicians, paramedics and skilled workers and award for special youth.
